"Future of Recycling" hosted by CCIA

Description: Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) will host “Is Today the Future of Recycling,” an Energy Connections workshop set for Sept. 19.  The event, hosted in collaboration with theColorado Energy Coalition, will be held from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at Faegre Baker Daniels, 1700 Lincoln St., Suite 3200. The breakfast event will look at how Colorado manufacturers, building contractors and others are redefining recycling, CCIA said.
Speakers include Jan Rayman, founder and CEO of The ReWall; Michele Wagner, representative of the Carton Council; andRob Writz, director of marketing and business operations at AMP Robotics. The event is free but registration is required.

"Trashed" Documentary

Description: Cornerstone Design (EPICS) Community Presents "Trashed."  A documentary film hosted by Jeremy Irons on the issue of waste/trash, locally and all around the world.

The Mines Alumni Association and the Engineering, Design, and Society Division present “Solving Impossible Problems” to showcase how Mines prepares you for the good, bad, and the ugly across a variety of engineering and science careers.

Cornertstone 2017 Fall Final Competition:

When?  Wednedsay, December 6th, 5:30-7:30pm

Where? Green Center Friedhoff Hall 2&3

What? The EDS Division hosts an Intro to Design Final Competition each semester where the winning team from each class section present their projects to a variety of judges, and the top three teams are awarded scholarships totaling $1,750.  This semester's project was a design an upcycle solution in order to reduse landfill waste.

Who? This event is open to the public, so please come enjoy the event. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
